A man in his 20s was arrested following an investigation into sexual crimes committed at the Caribbean Bay water park in Yongin. The suspect allegedly used a short-haired wig, sunglasses, and a mask to create an androgynous appearance to infiltrate female changing rooms.

Initial reports focused on the illegal filming of women in these facilities on two occasions in July. However, subsequent investigations revealed additional charges of forcible molestation, involving an incident in the park’s wave pool on August 1.

Police apprehended the suspect at his Seoul residence after a 20-day investigation. Authorities seized various items, including a watch-shaped hidden camera, a mobile phone, and a laptop. While the suspect admitted to the molestation, he claimed the illegal filming was driven by “curiosity” and denied distributing any footage. Digital forensics are ongoing to determine the total number of victims and whether any videos were shared externally.
