Sexual misconduct allegations against Geordie Greep

Overview

Musician Geordie Greep, formerly of the band Black Midi, faced sexual assault allegations during a performance in Vancouver on October 8. The allegations were brought to public attention via flyers distributed outside the venue.

During his Vancouver set, Greep performed solo and addressed the crowd, denying allegations of rape but describing a specific incident at a house party as a “complete misunderstanding.” He stated that he “made a move and it didn’t come off,” and noted that he apologized immediately. He also indicated that proceeds from the Vancouver concert would be donated to a local organization supporting victims of sexual violence.

Following these events, Greep cancelled five upcoming North American tour dates, including shows in Boise, Salt Lake City, Boulder, Denver, and Omaha. While several US dates have been removed, some scheduled European performances for November remain on his itinerary.
