Shanling Q2 music player release

The audio company Shanling announced the Q2, a compact, retro-designed MP3 player featuring a physical scroll wheel and a 2.09-inch HD touchscreen. The device is designed for high-resolution audio, supporting formats such as FLAC, ALAC, WAV, DSF, and DFF, with PCM decoding up to 768kHz/32-bit.

Technical specifications include a quad-DAC system using four Cirrus Logic CS43131 chips, a 4.4mm balanced headphone jack, and a 3.5mm output. The player offers wireless capabilities via Bluetooth 5.2, acting as both a transmitter and receiver with support for LDAC and aptX HD. It includes microSD support for up to 2TB of storage and an estimated battery life between 12.5 and 13.5 hours.

Following the initial announcement, MUSIN confirmed the device is scheduled for release on September 25, with pre-orders beginning September 18. The Q2 will be available in three colors: Smoke Grey, Moonlight Silver, and Twilight Orange.
