Shokz expands open-ear lineup with OpenFit and OpenDots

Overview

Shokz has expanded its open-ear audio lineup with the introduction of the OpenFit Air 2 wireless earbuds and the OpenDots 2 clip-on model.

The OpenFit Air 2, which was scheduled for release around late August, features a lightweight design at 7.2 grams per earbud. It utilizes a 0.75 mm nickel-titanium alloy in the ear hooks for improved stability and pressure distribution. To prevent accidental touches, Shokz replaced touch controls with physical pressure buttons. Technical specifications include Bluetooth 6.1 connectivity, MultiPoint support, and the Bassphere driver system with 11.8 mm transducers. Audio performance is supported by OpenBass 2.0 and DirectPitch technologies. The device offers up to 8 hours of continuous playback, extending to 36 hours with the charging case, and carries an IP55 rating, while the case is rated IP54.

In addition to the OpenFit Air 2, Shokz introduced the OpenDots 2. These earbuds utilize a clip-on format with silicone-covered modules and a flexible nickel-titanium arch that attaches to the ear cartilage. Designed for environmental awareness, the OpenDots 2 provide up to 10 hours of listening time per charge. They are available at promotional prices of €179.99, reduced from an original price of €199.99.

Previously announced products include the OpenRun Air 2 bone conduction headphones, which are 9% smaller than their predecessor and offer up to 10 hours of battery life with an IP67 rating.
