Overview
Siemens AG is restructuring its automation business under its ‘ONE Tech Company’ strategy. Effective October 1, 2026, the company will consolidate four existing divisions—Customer Services, Factory Automation, Motion Control, and Process Automation—into a single unified organization named ‘Automation.’
Rainer Brehm, currently the Chief Operating Officer for the Digital Industries automation business and Chief Technology Officer, has been appointed President of the new unit. Brehm will report to Cedrik Neike, CEO of Digital Industries.
The reorganization is intended to integrate automation with software and artificial intelligence to enhance industrial productivity, innovation speeds, and flexibility. The company aims to advance toward AI-enabled autonomous production to help customers remain competitive.
