Sisak kindergarten labor rights improvements

Overview

In Sisak, the City and the Union of Education, Media, and Culture have signed an amendment to the collective agreement for preschool institution employees.

Under the agreement, educators with higher professional qualifications will see a complexity coefficient increase of approximately 12 percent starting January 1, 2027. The amendment also introduces holiday allowances for the first time in over a decade, establishes rights to biennial medical examinations, and regulates annual leave, sick leave, and jubilee awards.

Alongside these labor improvements, the city is investing in kindergarten facilities through renovations and the creation of new spaces to increase capacity.
