Slovakia banking service updates
Overview
In early July, mBank announced that its Slovak operations would launch the Blik mobile‑payment system, expanding the range of digital payment options available to customers. By the end of July, both ČSOB and mBank scheduled planned interruptions to their online platforms. ČSOB detailed a one‑hour outage of its internet banking, mobile app and PSD2 API services on 31 July, while mBank announced a longer technical window on the night of 2 August during which instant payment transactions would be rejected, though other payment types would continue to process. The sequence shows an initial rollout of new digital functionality followed by operational disruptions needed to support system upgrades and new services.
