Following the visibility of the eclipse, eye clinics in Slovenia and the Czech Republic have reported patients seeking medical attention. In Ljubljana, patients at the University Clinical Center reported blurred vision and eye pressure. In Prague, clinics including General University Hospital, Královské Vinohrady, and Bulovka reported symptoms such as irritation, headaches, and temporary vision impairment.

In Galicia, Spain, health officials reported 19 incidents during the eclipse, including anxiety and fainting, though they noted that no major ocular injuries have been recorded there so far. In Germany, the Association of German Ophthalmologists confirmed that a small fraction of those seeking check-ups had detectable retinal damage. Experts attributed the lack of widespread severe injuries to effective public awareness campaigns regarding the necessity of certified solar viewing glasses. Medical experts continue to emphasize that solar retinopathy can take 24 to 48 hours to manifest and that only certified eclipse glasses meeting the ISO 12312-2 standard provide adequate protection.
