Sonora Fourth Transformation movement activities

Overview

Lorenia Valles, the state coordinator for the Committees for the Defense of the Transformation and National Sovereignty in Sonora, has engaged in efforts to promote the ‘Fourth Transformation’ (4T) agenda through labor relations and organizational expansion.

Valles initially met with representatives from 17 unions in Sonora to discuss labor rights, citing achievements such as minimum wage increases and a reduced workweek. She emphasized the importance of dialogue between unions and government to further the movement’s goals.

Following these discussions, Valles appointed Froylán Gámez Gamboa as the state coordination spokesperson. Gámez is tasked with communicating the coordination’s activities and managing territorial work across Sonora’s 72 municipalities. This appointment is part of a broader strategy involving grassroots engagement, such as community assemblies and house-to-house visits, in preparation for the 2027 electoral process.
