South Aegean gastronomy exhibition in Athens

The South Aegean Region is organizing a Food and Drink Exhibition to be held at the Syntagma Metro multi-use hall in Athens from November 11 to 14, 2026. The initiative seeks to promote the gastronomic identity and local products of the Cyclades and Dodecanese islands to both domestic and international markets.

Regional authorities have issued an invitation to local producers who process or standardize agricultural products using local raw materials. The event is intended to facilitate professional networking, build consumer trust, and establish commercial partnerships within the hospitality sector. This effort also supports the region’s bid for the title of ‘World Gastronomy Region 2028’.

Interested producers must declare their interest via the official regional website by September 7, 2026. Participation is subject to strict selection criteria, and the regional government has noted that penalties, such as exclusion from future exhibitions, may apply to those who fail to meet certification requirements or withdraw after registration.
