Despite this, calf values rose 68% over the past year. Additionally, Argentine sheep meat exports grew by 34% in volume during the first half of 2026, generating 46% more foreign exchange. Digital financing via AgTech platforms grew by 40% in the first half of the year. Recent developments in Argentina highlight a shifting fiscal landscape. Following the implementation of Decree 566/2026, which reduced taxes on over 1,400 tariff positions, the export duty burden has shifted primarily toward the agricultural sector.
