Spanish boxing international competition results

Overview

Spanish boxer Laura Fuertes achieved significant success in international competitions during late 2026.

At the Mediterranean Games in Taranto, Fuertes secured a gold medal in the -51kg category following a 4-1 decision against Algeria’s Fatiha Mansouri. During the same event, fellow Spanish boxer Enmanuel Reyes Pla also won gold in the under 90kg category.

Fuertes later earned a historic silver medal at the European Elite Boxing Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria. Competing in the -51kg category, she reached the final after defeating opponents from Ireland and Germany. Although she lost the final match to Turkey’s Hatice Akbas via unanimous decision, the achievement marked the first time a Spanish female boxer has won a continental medal at that level. This success followed a period of recovery from physical setbacks, including an elbow injury and finger surgery.
