In the Duero basin, the La Cuerda del Pozo reservoir has dropped to 53.19% capacity, a significant decrease from the 64.93% recorded in September 2025, attributed to a total absence of rainfall over a seven-day period. In Navarra, reserves have dropped to 30.32% capacity as of the fourth week of September, representing a 46 percentage point decrease from 76% in late June. The Yesa reservoir has fallen below 20% capacity. By the start of October, reservoir levels in León declined further to 33.8% capacity. Data from the Confederación Hidrográfica del Duero indicates that the Esla and Órbigo systems hold approximately 435.5 hectometres out of a 1,288.4 hectometre capacity. Individual levels include Porma at 38.5%, Riaño at 37.4%, Barrios de Luna at 23.5%, and Villameca at 11.1%. This decline follows the summer months and the irrigation season.
