Spanish tourism and hospitality sector expansion

Tourism and hospitality development is expanding across several Spanish regions, with a notable shift toward specialized and sustainable models.

In the Cádiz and Alicante regions, urban planning projects are advancing. In Castellar, the municipal council approved the Castellar Golf project, which includes a hotel, tourist apartments, and residential zones featuring environmental measures like water efficiency. In Alicante, new hospitality projects are emerging near the city’s cultural axis, including a two-star hotel-apartment complex on Valencia Street and upcoming openings from the easyHotel and Accor chains.

Developments in Seville and the Costa Blanca region show an increasing focus on luxury and environmental integration. In Seville, Hotel Don Ramón is expanding its capacity and adding MICE facilities, while the Felipe V hotel is planned for 2027. In the Valencian Community, the Alicante Global Group received industry recognition for its strategy of prioritizing low construction density and bioclimatic architecture, aiming to move away from mass tourism toward more exclusive, sustainable models.
