Staten Island homicide investigation

Overview

Police are investigating the death of a 19-year-old man found unresponsive in a Staten Island home on Elmwood Park Drive. The NYPD is treating the case as a suspected homicide following the discovery of physical evidence, including bruising and swelling around the victim’s wrists and ankles, along with signs of malnourishment.

Investigators noted that the account provided by the victim’s mother, who called 911, was “inconsistent with the physical evidence found at the scene.” Crime scene investigators removed at least five bags of evidence from the residence. No arrests have been made.
