Stellar network activity and transaction growth

Overview

The Stellar network has seen a significant increase in both transaction volume and stablecoin activity. In late October 2026, the network processed a record 14.16 million daily transactions, reaching peaks of 224.6 transactions per second. This surge followed technical improvements such as the Protocol 28 Adapter upgrade and the integration of Chainlink price data feeds.

Following this increase in network throughput, USDT transaction volume on Stellar surpassed $500 million, more than doubling a previous $200 million milestone reached earlier in the year. The Stellar Development Foundation reported a 121% quarterly increase in stablecoin transfer value during the third quarter of 2026, driven by the use of LayerZero’s Omnichain Fungible Token standard for cross-chain transactions.
