Overview
Educational initiatives in Japan have focused on robotics and programming for students. At Kumamoto National College of Technology, a workshop and regional qualifying event for the Elementary School Robot Contest allowed students in grades 4 through 6 to build and compete with robots.
Additionally, students from the Proglab programming school qualified for the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) international competition following the WRO 2026 Japan Finals in Tokyo. This achievement marks the fifth consecutive year that Proglab students have advanced to the global event.
