Subscription price hikes in Italy
Entities: Amazon.com Inc. · Telepass · UnipolMove · MooneyGo · Amazon Music Unlimited
Overview
During early August 2026 Italy saw two major subscription price increases. On 1 August, UnipolMove announced its basic toll‑payment service will rise to €2.50 per month from 28 September, affecting over two million users; a second‑device fee stays at €1. The hike follows a similar increase by Telepass in July 2024 that prompted some drivers to switch to alternatives.
A few days later, on 5 August, Amazon Music Unlimited raised its Individual and Family plans, moving the Individual price from €10.99 to €12.99 per month and the Family plan from €17.99 to €22.99. New customers will face the higher rates immediately after any free trial, while existing subscribers will see the change at their first renewal after 9 September. Both companies cited higher operating or licensing costs as the reason for the adjustments.
