Various community events and festivals are scheduled to take place in the Tama area during August 2026.

On August 21, the Tama Civic Center in Kawasaki City will host the ‘Summer Vacation Movie Screening & Peace Fest’. This free event, which has a capacity of 900 people, features film screenings of ‘Boku to Gaku: Ano Natsu no Monogatari’ and ‘Cho-chan Monogatari’, alongside musical performances, Japanese drum shows, and a quiz rally.

In Tama City, the ‘Green Summer Park 2026’ is set for August 22 at the Tama City Green Live Center. Organized with Chuo University volunteers, the event includes activities such as making bamboo toys, candle making, and nagashi somen. Additionally, the ‘Tama Higashi Park Summer Festival 2026’ will be held on August 29, featuring a bingo tournament, workshops, and traditional festival stalls.
