Suspicious deaths in Colombia

Authorities in Colombia are investigating several deaths involving suspicious circumstances across different regions.

In Ibagué, investigations are underway regarding the death of Teodoro Caicedo Díaz, an elderly man found dead near Plaza de la 21. Community leaders have raised concerns regarding his living conditions and the management of his monthly pension. Additionally, police are treating the death of 53-year-old Alba Rocío Pérez in the Bella Suiza neighborhood as a suspected femicide. Pérez was found unconscious, and preliminary hypotheses suggest mechanical asphyxia. Her partner, Henrry Salgado, was captured at the scene following reports of aggressive behavior and a plea for help from neighbors.

In Bogotá, investigators are examining the death of 33-year-old systems engineer Fredy Eduardo Blanco Palacios. Blanco disappeared after requesting a ride via a transportation app and was later found in the Ciudad Bolívar locality. His body showed signs of apparent torture, including tied limbs and wounds from a sharp object.
