Swedish band Disfear upcoming album release

Overview

Swedish d-beat band Disfear has announced the release of ‘The Last Nail’, their first album in 18 years, scheduled for November 20 via Relapse Records. The project serves as a posthumous tribute to three members who died from cancer: guitarist Henrik Frykman, vocalist Tomas Lindberg, and drummer Marcus Andersson.

The material was written over 14 years and recorded in stages. Lindberg re-recorded vocals for all eight tracks due to a sudden creative impulse in the spring of 2023, shortly before his cancer diagnosis. The band described the album as a “defiant triumph.”

Technical production included tracking at God City with Kurt Ballou and at Welfare Sounds with Per Stålberg, with mixing and mastering completed at Redmount Studios and Cosmos Mastering. Preview tracks released include ‘Early Graves’ and ‘Shackled To Our Vice’.
