Taiwanese participation in 2026 Asian Para Games

Overview

Taiwan has finalized its preparations for the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Para Games. The initial announcement detailed a 71-athlete roster competing in 12 sports, featuring a mix of world-ranked veterans and 19 debutants. To support the delegation, the Sports Ministry established a logistics system including a specialized support hub, a medical team of doctors and physical therapists, and dedicated accessible transportation.

Following the roster announcement, the delegation began its deployment to Japan. A large contingent of 91 people, comprising 53 athletes and coaches and 38 staff members, departed for the games. While some teams, such as those for badminton, table tennis, archery, and floorball, had already arrived to begin competition, the full delegation prepared for the official opening on October 18.
