Tamar Bridge operational updates

Overview

Tamar Bridge operations have recently faced logistical and maintenance-related adjustments. Following a shortage of electronic toll devices caused by high demand and manufacturer delays, officials announced that applications for TAMAR Tags would resume once new stock arrived via customs.

In addition to tolling updates, National Highways scheduled an overnight closure of the eastbound on-slip onto the bridge near Saltash. This closure was part of a technology upgrade to update rotating prism signage, intended to improve safety and reduce unplanned closures. This maintenance work also resulted in an earlier scheduled reopening of the Saltash Tunnel.
