Tamaulipas government appointments and digital initiatives

In August 2026 Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya confirmed earlier technocratic appointments—Luis García Reyes to the Parks and Biodiversity Commission, Pablo González Alanís to the Hunting and Sport Fishing Commission, and Germán Fernández Guzmán as director general of the Instituto Tamaulipeco de Vivienda y Urbanismo (ITAVU)—to continue policies expanding dignified housing for low‑income families.

The administration also launched two digital platforms, “Tamaulipas Te Conecta” and “Tamaulipas te Atiende,” aimed at linking families in the twelve most disconnected municipalities with relatives in the United States and simplifying access to public services.
