Taoyuan infrastructure and public service expansion

Taoyuan is implementing various infrastructure projects to support its growing population, focusing on healthcare and education.

In the healthcare sector, the city is advancing the expansion of medical facilities. This includes the planned affiliated hospital of National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University in Qingpu, which is expected to provide 400 beds and 24-hour emergency services. Additionally, the establishment of the Taoyuan Municipal Hospital has received approval from the Ministry of Health and Welfare. To support these expansions, the city is addressing nursing shortages by proposing subsidies for housing, childcare, and transportation.

Simultaneously, the city has launched major school construction projects. In Zhongli, work has begun on a new Futaai Elementary School campus featuring 36 classrooms and special education facilities. In Pingzhen, a 950 million TWD investment is underway for the first phase of Pingzhen Elementary School, which will include a kindergarten and a public childcare center to address classroom shortages in the Nanshi rezoned area.
