On a broader scale, the Sicilian Regional Government has reintroduced the “straccia bollo” measure. This program allows for the regularization of unpaid car taxes, government concession taxes, and other regional property revenues owed up to December 31, 2025. While the measure has been published in the Official Gazette, it awaits an implementing decree from the Regional Assessor for the Economy to define specific operational procedures. Regional President Renato Schifani noted the decision to repeat the measure was driven by the success of previous iterations.
