Tay Ninh provincial development and management
Overview
Tay Ninh Province has undertaken various administrative and developmental initiatives. In late August, Chairman Le Van Han issued an urgent directive for local authorities to finalize land management plans, specifically targeting the handover and exploitation of transferred land and housing assets. The order aimed to resolve legal issues regarding land origin and pricing, with a deadline set for August 30 to ensure accountability for the 53 commune-level units that had not yet completed their plans.
Concurrently, the province is advancing socio-economic development programs in ethnic minority and mountainous border areas. These efforts include infrastructure improvements such as paved roads, modernized irrigation systems, and reinforced school buildings. To support border communes, over 2.5 billion VND was mobilized to install solar-powered lighting. In areas like Lai Dong commune, initiatives focus on sustainable livelihoods through livestock breeding and have successfully expanded access to the national electricity grid, medical stations, and educational facilities.
Building on these efforts, medical services are being expanded to reach residents in border communes along the nearly 369 km stretch bordering Cambodia. In communes such as Ninh Dien and Ben Cau, local authorities are organizing health examinations and consultations directly within the community to overcome challenges posed by difficult terrain.
Expanding its focus toward international trade, Tay Ninh hosted the 4th Supply Chain Connectivity Conference for Import-Export and E-commerce in 2026. The event drew approximately 650 delegates, including representatives from 178 foreign enterprises across 27 countries and territories, such as Amazon, H&M, and Central Retail. Chairman Le Van Han noted the province’s strategic geoeconomic position, citing a 2025 import-export turnover of $31.4 billion, a 12.7% increase from the previous year. The province aims to leverage its 18,000 hectares of industrial land to integrate local businesses into high-value global supply chains through improved logistics and digital trade infrastructure.
