Thailand Agentic AI Initiatives

In mid‑July 2026, Agoda held its 11th Tech Camp Day in Bangkok, bringing together over 400 Thai students to focus on practical "agentic AI" applications such as writing, research, planning and optimisation. The event highlighted a shift from chat‑based tools toward AI agents and stressed the importance of AI training for Thailand’s digital economy, with remarks from the Deputy Prime Minister for Higher Education.

A week later, Huawei Cloud announced the launch of its "Huawei Cloud Agentic Infrastructure" for Thailand, opening beta testing of the CodeArts Agent platform. The rollout showcased capabilities for AI‑agent development, token generation, memory storage and secure autonomous operation. Concurrently, HKT organized an AI Tech Week in Hong Kong, featuring dozens of partners and solutions that underscored AI’s growing role in enterprise transformation.

Together, the two events illustrate a rapid progression in Thailand from cultivating AI talent through education to deploying the technical infrastructure needed for large‑scale agentic AI deployment.
