The Relic: First Guardian release and pricing updates

Overview

Project Cloud Games and publisher Perp Games announced new release dates and pricing for the dark fantasy action RPG, ‘The Relic: First Guardian’. The game is scheduled to launch on Xbox Series X|S on September 25, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version following on October 9.

To coincide with these platform expansions, the digital versions for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam will undergo a price reduction from $49.99 to $34.99, effective August 26. Players who purchased the game on PC or PlayStation 5 at the original price before this date will receive an exclusive ‘Sealing Stone’. This in-game item unlocks a unique dungeon containing a specific story, a boss battle, and exclusive items. The developers noted that the Sealing Stone will not be distributed after August 26.

Ongoing development includes a major update to incorporate community feedback and post-launch refinements. Previous updates have already introduced mechanical changes, such as replacing gold drops with ‘Relic power’ for skill progression and adding map icons to assist in locating the game’s 80 bosses.
