Overview

In late June 2026 EA’s Maxis team delivered the version 2.35 quality‑of‑life patch for The Sims 4 on PC, Mac and consoles, adding a “Silence Phone” button, festival‑notification controls and more than 70 bug fixes. Mid‑July EA announced the “Laundry List” update for 21 July, introducing AutoSave with optional reminders and a Memory Boost tool to improve performance and reduce memory‑related save problems, with a further QoL patch planned for September. Later in July the studio released two content drops: the free Coach RePurposed Collection (up‑cycled fashion items) on 28 July and the paid Jamsession Kit on 23 July, which adds retro‑futuristic musical décor and a limited‑time 200 Moola bonus.

On 6 August 2026 a new patch refined the autosave system, setting the default save interval to every two hours, improving visual feedback, fixing timer resets and preventing manual saves from being overwritten. The update also addressed several Marketplace glitches, including misaligned shelves, erroneous error messages, a Japanese‑language typo on PlayStation, thumbnail rendering issues, and incorrect timer displays for school activities. These releases continue the series of iterative improvements and new downloadable content for The Sims 4 throughout the summer of 2026.
