Theft and burglary incidents in Apucarana

Overview

Apucarana has reported several significant thefts involving both personal property and industrial or public assets.

In mid-August, criminal incidents included the theft of a backpack from a vehicle in the city center, which contained notebooks with critical operational data for the ‘Arraiá dos Gordinhos’ event. Additionally, a martial arts apparel factory in the Zona Oeste Industrial Park was targeted, resulting in the loss of 59 industrial sewing machines, 25 motors, four temperature inverters, electrical wiring, and other equipment.

By early September, authorities arrested a man and a woman for breaking into the Takaiti Miyadi Basic Health Unit. Police discovered a complete computer setup hidden inside a coat among recyclable materials. The suspects had forced open the entrance gate and attempted to conceal the damage with a recycling cart.
