Thefts and police investigations in Palmeira dos Índios

Police in the Palmeira dos Índios region have conducted operations related to recent thefts. In one instance, a suspect involved in the attempted theft of a school transformer and a motorcycle theft was apprehended in Maribondo while traveling toward Maceió.

In a separate development, authorities recovered a disassembled stolen motorcycle in the Sebastiana Gaia complex. A 16-year-old was taken into custody after the vehicle was found missing its engine, battery, and electrical components. The adolescent claimed he had purchased the vehicle in Igaci and was unaware of its illicit origin.

Law enforcement agencies across Brazil have reported various vehicle-related crimes and recoveries. In Santa Catarina, a major cargo robbery involving jet skis and quadricycles valued at R$ 1.1 million was intercepted. Two victims were held captive during the heist in Joinville, but the cargo was recovered in São Bento do Sul, and suspects were arrested in Rio Negrinho.

In the Joinville investigation, police noted that armed criminals surprised a driver and his brother during a rest stop on a Thursday night. The victims were held captive and later released in Garuva. Following a Civil Police investigation, the stolen cargo was located in a trailer in São Bento do Sul. Additionally, a vehicle used by the criminals was seized, showing signs of tampering and a reported theft history.

Other notable recoveries include a stolen Honda Broz found in a wooded area near Cornélio Procópio, a Volkswagen Gol found stripped of parts in rural Arapongas, and a GM Omega recovered in the same region. Additionally, in Planaltina de Goiás, divers located a Fiat Palio that had been stolen two years prior at the bottom of a deep well.
