Thefts of valuable materials and vehicle parts in Sweden
Overview
Sweden has reported a series of thefts targeting valuable materials and vehicle components. In Kungsbacka, police noted a wave of thefts specifically targeting Volvo V70 models, including the theft of grills, skirt kits, license plates, and light ramps in Frillesås.
Additionally, in the Lycksele municipality, copper cable valued at over 400,000 SEK was stolen from the Kristineberg mine. Six cable drums were taken from the industrial area. Authorities have secured forensic evidence but noted the investigation is difficult due to a lack of camera surveillance at the site.
