Thom Yorke musical and personal reflections

Overview

Thom Yorke has addressed the emotional aftermath of Radiohead’s 2025 reunion tour, which spanned several European cities including Madrid, Bologna, London, Copenhagen, and Berlin. The singer reported that the tour caused a “significant personal crisis” and a “massive collapse in self-confidence” that required months to recover from.

To regain his equilibrium, Yorke has returned to solo work and is currently collaborating with producer Sam Petts-Davies on a new album described as being “pretty fucking different”. While reflecting on his legacy, Yorke expressed feeling “profoundly confused” by public recognition, such as his Fellowship at the 2026 Ivor Novello Awards, stating a preference for new projects over the expectations of the band’s history.
