Overview

Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey joined the Saudi Pro League club Al-Shabab on a one-year contract as a free agent following his departure from Villarreal. The move marks the first time in his professional career that he has played outside of Europe.

Following his debut as a substitute in a draw against Al Khaleej, Partey made his first start for the Riyadh-based club in a 3-3 match against Al Riyadh.
