Tierra del Fuego education and AI training programs 2026

Overview

In late July 2026, the Ministry of Education of Tierra del Fuego opened enrollment for the second cohort of its ‘Titularte 2026’ adult secondary program and maintained its free provincial literacy initiative, ‘Yo, sí puedo’, for residents over 18. The ‘Titularte 2026’ program offers two-month hybrid tutoring for adults who completed secondary school by 2024 but have pending subjects, with online applications open until 28 August. Literacy classes are available in Río Grande, Ushuaia, and Tolhuin. Additionally, the provincial education council recently concluded two intensive pedagogical workshops for primary teachers in the northern zone, focusing on digital literacy and curriculum development.

Technical training in artificial intelligence has expanded in the province. The National Technological University (UTN) regional faculty launched a six-session Applied Artificial Intelligence course on 8 August, designed for students and professionals to build AI assistants and automation projects.

Furthering technological modernization, the Agencia de Innovación Fueguina, through the IPAP, introduced a three-month hybrid professional training program titled ‘Actualización Profesional en Integración de la Inteligencia Artificial en la Administración Pública’. Aimed at public administration agents with higher technician degrees, the course requires a final project focused on AI-based improvements for the public sector. Pre-registration for this program is open until 21 August, with classes set to begin on 26 August.

As of late August, the province is implementing a digital transformation plan to train state agents in AI. In collaboration with FEDERAI, a program for technical graduates has been launched to prepare them for AI integration in sectors including health, education, and security. This initiative seeks to transition the state to a proactive model by using data to anticipate citizen needs. Additionally, the IPAP is expanding its offerings with two specialized diplomas in AI and several self-managed courses covering strategic communication, decision-making, and administrative management via the SIGES system.
