Governor Lorena Cuéllar Cisneros' administration continued its large‑scale functional‑aid programme that began in July 2026, having distributed over 60,000 aids and targeting 13,000 more that year. The state‑funded rehabilitation centre (CRIAT) underpins the effort, and the SEDIF programme has delivered 230 hospital‑type beds to families of immobile persons, part of 920 assistance packages since 2023. In early August the programme was linked to disaster‑risk management, with civil‑protection warnings and coordination with the national defence ministry, the National Guard and security preparations for the Feria de Ferias.

In early August the governor inaugurated the Totolac Control and Command Center (C2), expanding Tlaxcala’s municipal video‑surveillance network to 52 of its 60 municipalities as part of a more than 10 billion‑peso investment in security technology, police professionalisation, a new police school and a tactical complex. A coordination meeting led by municipal president Salvador Santos Cedillo secured road‑signage, alternate routes and emergency lanes for the upcoming automotive and cultural events on 8 August, ensuring safety for participants and spectators.
