Tokyo prostitution ring investigation
Overview
In September 2026, Tokyo authorities investigated illegal business operations in Shinjuku. Ryota Kasahara and three other individuals were arrested for allegedly using a residential apartment in Kabukicho to facilitate prostitution. The suspects reportedly operated a men’s esthetic salon named ‘Bonnoji,’ which advertised services such as ‘10,000 yen for 15 minutes.’ The business is estimated to have generated approximately 80 million yen in revenue.
Police are continuing to investigate whether illegal scouting groups were involved in facilitating the operations.
