In Da Nang, a maritime accident occurred at Mui Nghe on the Son Tra Peninsula when large waves swept four individuals into the sea. One man was rescued by a fishing boat, and 24-year-old Truong Thi Phuong was rescued by a naval vessel after drifting for eight hours. Phuong survived by using survival techniques, including lying on her back to breathe and using a makeshift float made from two plastic bottles. Search operations continue for two other missing women. The Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center, along with naval and border guard forces, are conducting searches within a 5-nautical-mile zone, though difficult terrain and complex currents are complicating efforts.
