Toyota Land Cruiser Hybrid global recall

Overview

Toyota has issued a recall for approximately 106,000 Land Cruiser Hybrid SUVs, covering model years 2024 through 2027. The recall stems from a defect in the fuel delivery system where a retaining clip joining a resin fuel tube to a metal one may lift or detach.

This disconnection can cause fuel leaks, increasing the risk of vehicle fires and potentially causing the engine to shut down unexpectedly. While initial reports focused on over 105,000 vehicles in the United States, the scope has been identified as a global issue affecting markets including the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, the European Union, Japan, South Korea, and the United Arab Emirates.

To resolve the defect, authorized dealers will inspect the fuel-tube connections. Remedial actions include installing a supplemental clamp or replacing the resin fuel tube entirely. Toyota expects to notify affected owners via mail by December 13, 2026.
