Traffic accidents in Ha Tinh province

Overview

A series of traffic accidents occurred in Ha Tinh province involving heavy vehicles.

On August 23, a collision between a tractor-trailer and a container truck at the intersection of the Ky Anh bypass and National Highway 12C resulted in a driver being trapped in a deformed cabin. Local authorities used specialized equipment to rescue the injured driver, who was then transported to a hospital.

The following day, on August 24, a Laotian-registered tractor-trailer collided with a motorcycle at the intersection of the Ha Tinh City bypass and a highway access road. The accident resulted in the death of the motorcyclist. Reports indicated that while road conditions and signage were adequate, the traffic lights at the intersection were non-functional due to a power outage at the time of the collision.
