Traffic accidents and highway disruptions in Mexico

In Mexico, several vehicular accidents and road disruptions have been reported across multiple regions.

In Ciudad Valles, a taxi driver lost control due to a reported hydraulic steering failure, causing the vehicle to overturn and collide with a Nissan Versa. This incident resulted in injuries to the 19-year-old taxi driver and the female driver of the Versa, both of whom received treatment from Red Cross paramedics. In Nuevo Laredo, a 23-year-old driver of a Dodge Caliber ignored a red light at the intersection of Carlos Osuna and Pino Suárez, colliding with a Kia Seltos. While the impact caused significant material damage, no injuries were reported.

Recent reports indicate an increase in incidents involving heavy vehicles and passenger cars. On the Celaya-Querétaro highway, an overturned trailer caused a total road closure for several hours, while another trailer veered off the road near Villa de Reyes. On the Mexico-Cuernavaca highway at kilometer 72, a high-speed loss of control led to heavy traffic.

Additional passenger vehicle accidents include a collision between a car and a bus in Campeche, a car overturning in Reynosa to avoid public transport, and a collision in Ciudad Victoria caused by a driver attempting to beat a traffic light. In another Nuevo Laredo incident, a driver failed to stop at a sign, nearly striking a house.
