Tree collapse in Bucharest

Overview

In Bucharest, a large green poplar tree collapsed on a street in Sector 6, causing damage to four cars and one scooter. No injuries were reported.

Local authorities from the Sector 6 City Hall noted that the tree fell with its roots intact and the trunk did not break, despite the tree not being dry. Officials stated that all previously authorized pruning and clearing works in the area had been completed. Technical investigations are currently underway to determine the exact cause of the collapse, and the City Hall has pledged to assist affected property owners with legal procedures to recover damages.
