Trump campaign rally incident in Youngstown, Ohio

Overview

During a campaign rally at the Covelli Centre in Youngstown, Ohio, a female protester was physically attacked by at least two men. Video footage showed a male attendee shoving the woman to the ground, striking her in the face, and pulling her hair. Donald Trump observed the incident from the stage and responded by mocking the protester, claiming without evidence that the individual was a “paid protester” sent by political opponents.

Following the event, a federal lawsuit was filed by a couple seeking $30 million in damages. The plaintiffs allege they were violently ejected from the venue after expressing views regarding the Epstein files. The lawsuit names Senator Jon Husted, the city of Youngstown, Mahoning County Sheriff Jerry Greene, several deputies, and Ironwood Protection Group as defendants. The plaintiffs claim an officer grabbed one man by the head and neck, slamming him to the ground and breaking his property, while the woman was also allegedly assaulted while attempting to protect her husband.

Separately, Mahoning County Sheriff Jerry Greene announced an ongoing investigation into the assault involving the female protester, identified as Blake Miley. Authorities have identified two local men and one individual from New Jersey as being involved in the altercation. The Sheriff’s department expects to conclude the investigation soon, with at least one individual likely to face a misdemeanor assault charge.
