Overview

During the raid, authorities seized roughly 6.445 million TL in cash and valuables—including gold coins, a 50 g gold bar, US $33,700 and €2,620—along with a laptop, hard‑disk, eight USB drives, three mobile phones, four SIM cards and organisational documents. A health check recorded a blood‑alcohol level of 0.34 ‰. An accomplice, Özcan Atlı, later testified that he had supplied Karatepe with a phone, GSM line and occasional food aid. The capture ends a decade‑long hunt for the final 2016 coup suspect.
