Turkey’s Ministry of Family and Social Services has implemented various financial support programs aimed at strengthening family structures and addressing demographic needs.

In late August 2026, the Family and Youth Fund reported providing 2.18 billion lira to over 19,000 individuals. This fund, supported by underground resource revenues, offers marriage loans to young couples with specific repayment incentives tied to childbirth. For example, the debt of couples who have two or more children can be entirely forgiven.

During a visit to Mardin to inaugurate the Hasan Keleşoğlu Children’s Home Site, Minister Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş updated the status of birth assistance, noting that 25 billion lira has been distributed to more than 1.27 million children to date. She further reported that 195,813 children are currently receiving support through social and economic assistance programs alongside their families.

Regarding regional investments, the Minister stated that the Ministry has provided approximately 40.1 billion lira in support to Mardin over the last 24 years. Current initiatives include the ‘Gönül Elçileri’ project, which has placed 11,047 children with 9,302 foster families, and a new temporary foster family model being implemented in 30 pilot provinces. Additionally, Göktaş met with martyrs' families and veterans to discuss the ‘Terror-Free Turkey’ process, emphasizing a commitment to social unity and family protection during national transitions.
