A few days later, on 30 July 2026, a gun‑fire episode erupted at a kebab shop in the Güzelyalı neighbourhood of Çukurova, Adana. The clash stemmed from a land‑sale dispute involving real‑estate agent Baran Yücekaya. Two assailants opened fire, injuring several patrons; one victim, Samet Aksoy, later died. Police apprehended six suspects, including Yücekaya and members of his family, and charged them.
