Turkic and regional theatre festivals and performances

Overview

Cultural theatre events have been highlighted across Central Asia and the Caucasus. In Andijan, Uzbekistan, the 4th TURKSOY International Theatre Festival featured productions from various Turkic nations. Notable entries included the Azerbaijan State Pantomime Theatre, which received an award for its production “Iblis”, and Turkmenistan’s Main Academic Drama Theatre, which presented “The White Horse”.

In Baku, the Azerbaijan State Puppet Theatre scheduled the premiere of “The Little Traveler”, a play based on the work of Belarusian playwright Dmitri Bogoslavsky.
