Turkish-Balkan economic and tourism cooperation
Overview
Turkish organizations have initiated programs to strengthen commercial and tourism ties with Balkan nations.
In early October, the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) conducted a trade delegation program in Kosovo and North Macedonia. The initiative facilitated over 925 B2B meetings between Turkish firms and Balkan business leaders to expand the global presence of Turkish exporters.
Following this, tourism officials and investors from the Trakya region hosted tour operators from Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, and Bulgaria in Tekirdağ. Coordinated by the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA) and the Trakya Development Agency, the program focused on promoting culture, gastronomy, and nature tourism to increase regional visibility in Balkan markets.
