Turkish family receives support after quadruplet birth

Overview

A couple from the Kaş district of Antalya, Turkey, welcomed quadruplet girls following IVF treatment. The infants, named Dünya Eylem, Doğa Nur, Aylima Ülküm, and Aysima İlkem, were born via surgery at Pamukkale University Hospital in Denizli on September 3.

Following their birth, the infants required neonatal intensive care in incubators for periods ranging from 21 to 28 days. After being discharged and reunited with their family, the government intervened to provide support.

Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş congratulated the family via video call, and the Antalya Provincial Director of Family and Social Services visited their home. The state announced several forms of assistance, including 16,500 Turkish Lira in monthly child support, Social and Economic Support (SED) due to the family having five children, and Home Care Assistance for the family’s disabled grandfather.
